It's a cool blackjack game with some nice graphics, I like the effects on the cards as they fade in and out.

There's a lot of problems that fundamentally break the game though, being able to change your bet at any time means there's no risk of losing. You just keep your bet at 0 until you have a winning hand and then quickly crank it all the way up.

There doesn't seem to be an end screen either, so you can just keep doing this trick until you get as much money as you want, I stopped at $20'000, because after that it just felt pointless x3

Also quitting to the menu and starting a new game doesn't reset your money.

I feel like there should be some kind of win screen, it makes sense for a strip blackjack set up to have a prize at the end, I know you can look under the table once the guy is naked, but then you just keep playing endlessly.

I don't want to sound too negative, all the pieces are there for a fun game, I just think it needs a little more testing and something at the end to entice players to keep playing.

Thanks for the feedback, as a nearly finished prototype of sorts I'm fairly happy with it but you're right from a fundamental gameplay standpoint it's pretty broken, def needs some patching.

Thanks for playing, :D

Looks promising, it's great to see the artstyle of the original being carried over, it's a really nice tribute with a good sense of nostalgia.

Movement is a little clunky, it's easy to get stuck on objects, and the overall pace is slower than the original. It'd be nice to have a keyboard option for walking.

Looking forward to seeing how this develops :3

Having a lot of fun with this so far :3 Just finished 2 playthroughs and got the bad ending xP but I understand the management aspects a little better now, so hopefully I'll be able to sell enough coffee and cakes to keep this place running.

I really like the visual design, the sales screen is super cute with all the pixel people coming in and out :3 The character interactions are great too, having one at the end of every day is a nice incentive to keep playing (whilst paying closer attention to the customer ratio).

It would be great to see more story elements implemented in the future, like taking Cheqmate up on her strip poker offer. The picture rewards are good, but they could use some more variety.

Overall, fantastic game with an addictive management system and cute concept! Definitely looking forward to a sequel.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! We're going to try and see if we can streamline/improve some of the management aspects of the game with further updates to make it more easy to digest at first, while also trying to build more on top.

And of course, we definitely want to add more interactions between characters and story elements soon! That's one of the things we're looking forward the most with the next update! Caffie probably won't go through with Cheqmate's offer, but one of her close friends is undoubtedly going to go with it. It's one of the events I'm the most excited for. 👀

If you have any ideas on how to we could add more variety to the pictures or more story events we'd love to know them (we also have a Discord at https://discord.whalesandgames.com/ if you want to suggest through there)! Thanks a lot and it really warms our hearts that that you liked it! 💕Cheers! 🐳

The artwork was stunning, and I loved the character designs.

It's a great development concept with a lot of potential. The interface has a really nice charm, and loading is pretty quick. I hope it's not rude to ask, but what program did you use to make this? x3
